The December malware reports are a bit confusing; it turns out the criterion for different monitoring companies/agencies are coming up with different top threats.

Part of the problem is that they name things differently (Kaspersky calls Conficker "Kido", for example). Part of it is that some of them detect certain code differently.

Keep your eyes peeled. January's on the way, universities are about to get back in session, and another upswing is scheduled as millions of unpatched students get back online in their dorms...
