"Pro-IP" bill less bad, still horrible

Corrupt crook Howard Berman (D-Calif) has removed the enlarging of already abusive fines from his "PRO IP" bill, but it's still an outright gift to his corporate paymasters from the MafiAA.

Any mistake, even an inadvertent one, that ends up in court could well see a company liable for damages so astronomical that it would simply have to close its doors. The bigger concern is not that this would happen on a regular basis, but that the possibility of it happening was so catastrophic that new companies would be scared off doing anything interesting with copyrighted content.
Do the US a favor. Contact his office, contact your representative, and if you have the chance, vote against this bastard the next time he's up for election.
