After FASA Interactive did a great job with the original Crimson Skies and Mechwarrior 4 games, gamers were in heaven.

Then we got betrayed. MechAssault, MechAssault 2, Crimson Skies 2, and of course the abomination that they called "Shadowrun"... ugh. All the result of Microsoft acquiring FASA Int.

Now, there's a chance things might get better again - someone has rescued the properties from M$, a couple years after Mechwarrior 5 was cancelled in favor of the utterly craptastic MechAssault 2.

"FASA, WizKids and 42 Entertainment founder Jordan Weisman has announced, via the website of his newest venture-backed startup Smith & Tinker, that he has licensed the 'electronic entertainment' rights to his MechWarrior, Shadowrun and Crimson Skies properties from Microsoft.
Here's hoping for another run of solid, fun, good games. I can so easily imagine a MechWarrior or Shadowrun MMO...
