BB drops analog TVs

Best Buy has officially stopped selling analog TVs.

"We are committed to helping people understand the digital television transition, and exiting the analog video business is one way we can help avoid confusion," Mike Vitelli, senior vice president of electronics for Best Buy, said in a statement.
Personally, I think analog TVs are just fine for a lot of people. But I understand BB's real stance - they get a lot better margin from digital TVs these days.

If you're coming up on it, there's a program about to start where the gov't will offer two coupons per household at $40 each to "encourage" people to get HDTV converter boxes. The program's site is here.
