* Duke Nukem coming to E3?

Printer-friendly page Print this story   Email this to a friend
PC Games/Hardware/Microsoft
GamesIndustry has a rumor that this year's E3, just like the E3's of a few years ago, may see Duke Nukem Forever.

The reason? 3dRealms went after a fan project who were re-creating Duke Nukem 3D in the Half-Life 2 engine.

Fans working on the mod were informed by the company that it does not allow any of its intellectual property to be used in conversions or mods for other game engines, forcing the project to be shut down.

3D Realms itself is still working on Duke Nukem Forever, the long delayed sequel to Duke Nukem 3D, which is expected to be present at E3 this year in some form - although previous E3 showings a few years ago came to nothing when the project switched engine, and 3D Realms still refuses to commit to any release date for the title.
