So... Rock Band.

The drum set is interesting. That's most of what you are paying for in the package. If you mess up and smack the edge of the drums, chances are you wind up cracking the plastic. Needs a clip for the sticks (in storage) and a cup holder (for the drummer).

The new guitar... alright. The extra buttons are cool, fret buttons well designed. The sound adjuster seems to do precisely jack. The non-clicking soft strum bar is awkward, because it's harder to tell if you missed a note or just didn't strum it quite far enough to register when you're moving quickly.
