IGN references Kotaku with some disturbing PS3 rumors:

The magazine apparently states that PlayStation 3 will not support any PSOne or PS2 peripherals, nor will it use any memory cards. If true, this means that if you'd like to play your PSOne and PS2 games on PS3 via that system's new backward compatibility functionality, you're going to have to start from scratch.
Ouch. No. BAD Sony, if this is true.
