Looks like Ubisoft's hard at work - 1up's gotten a preview of the next Prince of Persia.

The game starts off where Warrior Within left off: the Prince and his love, Kaileena, are returning home to Babylon after their adventure on the Island of Time. However, within the first few minutes, the Prince is captured by his own people, and Kaileena is forced to unleash the Sands of Time to save him, sacrificing her life in the process. The Prince, alone and hunted, is left to fend for himself in the streets. As if things couldn't get worse, his dealings in the past have given birth to a new form of himself: the Dark Prince, whose twisted sprit begins to possess him.
I'm going to have to acquire and play Warrior Within one of these days. I just couldn't bring myself to do it, after enjoying the first one and hearing "oh the emphasis is on combat now"...
