Xbox/Xbox Games
So the Xbox360 was finally unveiled last night on MTV; Slashdot's got a myriad of links to sites with coverage.

Rumors finally confirmed/denied:
  • It's got 512 MB of RAM.

  • HDTV support is now standard - ALL games will get 16:9 720p and 1080i support, instead of just a precious few.

  • It's white.

  • Replaceable faceplates will be able to "skin" the Xbox dashboard.

  • A 20GB removable HD will be standard; future space upgrades are possible.

  • The DVD drive supports a laundry list of formats:DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-DA, CD-ROM, CD-R, CD-RW, WMA CD, MP3 CD, JPEG Photo CD, and maybe a few others.

  • You'll be able to "dump" movies and music to the HD over a network from a Windows XP machine.

  • The controllers will be PC-compatible, wireless, and the black and white buttons are now on the controller's shoulders.

  • Xbox Live support is now a function of the OS, rather than having to be built into each game.
