Final Breakdown

The game is great, as long as one can navigate the levels with only one car. Pedestrian mode's problems bring it down quite a bit.

Movies are good, cutscenes work decently, and the car effects are well done.

Sound and Music:

The FX and music tracks are fitting for the game, and nothing seems to have been missed.

Solid, with a few different styles, the multiplayer will keep the game going as will its counterpart, the "instant action" missions.

AI and Difficulty:

The AI fights well in numbers, but is pretty unrealistic because it can't do some things that would be expected like group firing weapons and controlled spins.

Controls and Interface:

One word: Analog. Without a control of this type you're hung out to dry, but the box doesn't mention it except for "recommending" a joystick.

It's a nice idea and a well pulled off game, but with its share of troubles as well.

Pluses (+)

  • Nice gameplay and engine.
  • Excellent music and sound.
  • Minuses (-)
  • Pedestrian mode hurts in the engine.
  • Lackluster AI.
