Exile Trilogy Review @ GU - Page 4
July 2nd, 1999 by Chris "Stories" Kim
If you are unfamiliar with the grading scale system, please check out this page for more info on how the scale works and how the ratings systems are distributed per game genre.
Graphics: 1.5/10
The graphics are pretty bad. But hey! Graphics aren't everything!

Controls/Interface: 14/15

Controls are easy to use, and hotkeys for all is great! You just can't configure anything so you are stuck with the default controls even if you don't like them. The load times are great and the interface is very simple to use and not painful to learn.

Sound: 2.5/10

Pretty empty, and the sound effects that do fill the room are pretty simple and nothing special.

AI: 15/15

Computer opponents are smart, and the enemies won't just run up and attack. They will team up to attack on your party.

Gameplay: 18/20

Excellent fun and great gameplay to enjoy. The fun factor is high up there, but the challenge is extremly hard and difficult which may turn a few gamers away.

Storyline: 20/20

Three different stories, three cool plots, three engaging stories, equals great ratings. Extremely engaging storylines of all three games which seemlessly connect together.

Originality: 9/10

Not the most original, but there are a few factors such as the underworld of exiles and empire above which are unique and the story is very good.

Overall: 80%

A good game that anyone should get if they can get past the graphics and sound issue. Has a great depth to it and will keep you occupied for a long time.
