Overclocked Benchmark

Straight across the board, the results are quite linear as it really pumps out the polygons thanks to the T&L hardware-engine of the GeForce chipset. Since 3DMark 2000 takes full advantage of the T&L engine, the processor has a large load taken off by giving the videocard that responsibility. From 640x480 to 1152x864 all benchmarks remain within 150 3DMarks of each other because of the heavy use of the T&L engine. Therefore, the fillrate and memory bandwidth of the videocard is not being stressed to its limits. At 32-Bit, however, there are big dips in performance once it passes 800x600, mainly due to not enough memory bandwidth. Once it reaches 1024x768, the 32-Bit color and massive amount of pixels onscreen start to slow the videocard's abilities down. Overclocking in 3DMark 2000 also yield similar results to Quake 3 Arena overclocking by increasing the performance significantly.
