Final Breakdown

Sadly, ripping off the Guilty Gear/Blazblue control scheme resulted in a highly oversimplified, not-deep-enough fighting game. While it can easily be picked up by a new player, it doesn't have staying power.

One are where Capcom did indeed go out - the graphics are absolutely stunning.

Sound and Music:

Music? Wonderful. Voice acting? Not quite so much. Some voices are good, some are downright bad, and some just don't sound right for fans of the past series.

As with any fighting game, the difficulty slider means something. The endboss, Galactus, isn't so much "difficult" as he is "cheesy beyond all reason."

Controls and Interface:

The main problem with this game - the altered control scheme just doesn't hold up for Capcom fighting purists or those looking for more depth in their game.

Hold off until Capcom finishes patching it and gets most of the DLC out, and you'll probably be much happier.
