Final Breakdown

Overall solid gameplay, but it has to live up to past Spidey titles, and there are a few level issues and control issues that get in the way.

Beenox did an amazing job in matching up art styles and replicating them in-game, making Shattered Dimensions a wonderful experience.

Sound and Music:

When you can start out with a "Greetings, True Believers" Stan Lee opener and run with amazing voices from past Spider-Man shows and games, the vocal talent really shines and gives life to the writing. The Spidey and Deadpool sections are especially wonderful.

There's definitely a learning curve - some parts unlearning previous Spidey titles, some parts re-learning each character when switching between levels.

Controls and Interface:

There are definitely a few faults that make combat slightly less enjoyable than it should be - and the first-person sequences are just not necessary.

Spidey fan? Grab it. Not a fan? Give it a try anyways, it's worth it.
