Gamers from the "classic" days - meaning the 1980s - will remember quite well Don Bluth's entry into the world of video games, a short set of LaserDisc-powered adventures that started with Dragon's Lair, wandered into space for Space Ace, and then took a long hiatus before finally coming back with Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp. Since then, the properties have been in the hands of Digital Leisure, who've continually reworked and remastered them, trying to come up with "definitive" translations of the arcade experience for home users.
With the production of Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp for Blu-Ray, I think that day has come. The transfer of video content has never been cleaner; the audio never crisper; and the extra features are the best they've accomplished. Put together, the Blu-Ray editions of the trilogy have absolutely blown away the 20th anniversary DVD set, or even the high-definition PC collection.
