Final Breakdown

Another perfect translation of the original's gameplay; BD-J's capabilities work pretty well for the input style of the old laserdisc games.

Digital Leisure does a grand job of the transfer - sure it's 1984 cel animation, but it's Bluth animation in high-def.

Sound and Music:

Okay, so the audio could be better - that was one spot where Ace is decidedly inferior to Dragon's Lair.

Yeah - compared to Ace, Dragon's Lair was just a walk in the park. Depending on your mood, this could easily be "throw the joystick at the wall" difficulty.

Controls and Interface:

For being a port of a 20+-year-old game, the BD-Java interface is great. It's leaps and bounds above the older DVD edition.

Need a good, classic game to use your PS3 with? Want a blast from the past? Definitely worth working into your collection.
