Final Breakdown

Satisfying if you can ignore the side quests and minigame, and just enjoy the meat of the game. The designers really should have implemented either a "save anywhere" option or a lot more save points.

The PSP ought to be capable of more; fighting graphics and world map are bright and lively, dungeons are locked to isometric perspective and far too dark.

Sound and Music:

The music gets repetitive quickly, and the English VA hurts; thankfully, Japanese is an option.

Very few enemies will present a real challenge - most of the fights are easy to beat, common for an RPG.

Controls and Interface:

Menu system needs work; many of the most often-used commands are nested 2-3 layers deep.

If you need an RPG for the PSP, it may be for you, but I wouldn't try to get someone into RPG's with it.
