Final Breakdown

A perfect translation of the original's gameplay; BD-J manages to do what only the port mechanism for a PC could do previously.

It's quite possibly the best transfer you'll ever see; it's in enough resolution that imperfections in the original cellulose are visible, looking almost like a feature film.

Sound and Music:

Again - the best transfer ever done, remastered beautifully into surround sound.

Okay - it's Dragon's Lair. What more do you want? Hit the right button, at the right time; choose wrong and watch Dirk meet the Grim Reaper.

Controls and Interface:

Absolutely fantastic - I've played Dragon's Lair on almost every platform, and this comes closest to the play of the original.

This is the absolute definitive edition of Dragon's Lair - I could see a HD-DVD version someday down the road, but if it is, it'll just be a port of what Dragon's Lair Blu-Ray has to offer. It's absolutely worth picking up and owning, whether your system is a PS3 or a standalone player.
