Final Breakdown

The original gameplay is retained entirely; die, Dirk, die, over and over again, until gamers master the twitch and start memorizing how the rooms work.

The DVD anniversary set transfers were good; this is about as perfect as a transfer can possibly get.

Sound and Music:

Dragon's Lair had a great soundtrack and sound effects, and remixing them into 5.1 just makes them more brilliant.

The reason Dragon's Lair was a quarter sucker? It combined the great graphics with a really tough game!

Controls and Interface:

Arrow keys and spacebar are all you need - but unlike previous translations, these work flawlessly and don't interrupt the game's flow at all.

I give this five stars, because it's the first perfect re-creation of the original five-star classic that I've ever seen.
