Final Breakdown

The gameplay in Cold War is something you'll likely enjoy, but there are just too many things that break suspension of disbelief.

I confess to liking the graphics, but some of the animations betrayed primitive coding.

Sound and Music:

The soundtrack is pretty good, and with a few bit-part exceptions, the voice acting is strong.

Cold War is an exceptionally hard title, which is nice to see now and again, but will turn off a lot of players.

Controls and Interface:

For the most part the controls are good, but the item creation system can get confusing and the mechanisms for aiming a gun likewise.

Worth trying out, but don't buy it until you know whether you want it. There's definite potential for frustration with Cold War.
