Final Breakdown

Gameplay:

The gameplay compared to the last Spider-Man game Treyarch put out is so overwhelmingly lacking, it's painful.

Graphics:

Okay, they got the graphical engine down. It looks in every respect like the Ultimate Spider-Man art style, through and through.

Sound and Music:

Some lackluster tunes that really don't do a lot for the gameplay permeate the game. Best played with the music volume turned down.

Difficulty:

Nothing in the game is necessarily difficult, once you've shaken off your control habits from Spider-Man 2.

Controls and Interface:

This is part of the problem. While the controls do the same things they did in Spider-Man 2, the number of options is so reduced as to be sad.

Overall:

Stick with Spider-Man 2, unless you're giving it as a gift to a child who's never played Spider-Man 2.
