Final Breakdown

The levels that aren't designed to be stones/XP mills are decent fun, but those levels are just annoying.

While better than Devil May Cry 2's graphics, the camera is still badly placed for an action/fighting game.

Sound and Music:

Lots of rock music and lots of cheesy voice acting; about par for the course in a Devil May Cry game.

On the first play-through, this game is ROUGH. Once all the weapons are unlocked and after spending a bit too much time replaying old levels for cash and XP, it gets easier.

Controls and Interface:

While the biggest complaint is camera, the fact that the lock-on system still locks onto random enemies rather than the last one attacked is a big issue.

If you're a recreational gamer looking for a fun game, stick with the original Devil May Cry. If you're looking to get the bad taste of Devil May Cry 2 out of your system, or you don't mind replaying stages constantly for powerups, you might enjoy Devil May Cry 3.
