Reviewed: Razer Boomslang Speed, Razer Viper
Author: Michael Ahlf       Date: June 24th, 2004
Page: 3

Final Breakdown

Installation:

Loading in drivers from Razer's website was a breeze; just remember to put everything in in the proper order.

Performance/Features: /

The Boomslang Speed is the higher-performance device, of that there's no question - higher resolution, more buttons. The Viper is a bit more flexible in setting however, and more accessible to non-hardcore gamers.

Price: /

Pricewise, the two are reversed, obviously - Those interested in the Boomslang Speed will have to shell out a little more. The Viper, being pricewise equivalent to the Boomslang Control, should be the mouse of choice between those two every time.

Overall: /

If you're a hardcore gamer, you're going to want the Boomslang 2100, and you're going to be willing to clean it and pay the small amount more to own it.

If you're a casual gamer, the Viper is your mouse, no questions asked.

Both products are incredible, however, and worthy of the GU Editor's Choice award.
