Movie tie-in video games have always been a REALLY hit-or-miss proposition, and the general rule of thumb for a long while has been "Be wary." Some of them are really good, and follow or complement the movie really well. Some of them manage to be good while having absolutely no relationship with the movie (the old NES game of The Goonies comes to mind).

And then there are those few that come from a movie that's already a tie-in from something else and have to deal with both influences. X2: Wolverine's Revenge is one of those games, because it spends far more time in the X-Men comic book universe than it has anything to do at all with the X-Men movie line.
