Final Breakdown

Just like installing any other motherboard, it takes a bit of doing. The software thankfully went in quickly and relatively painlessly, though an automated setup would have been nicer at least for purposes of the generic drivers.

About the same retail prices as any other mainstream Athlon motherboard right now, and the prices don't look to be changing that much.

The performance is on par for a KX133-based motherboard, but the ability to alter the FSB settings leaves a lot to be desired. A small layout flaw regarding the cooling fan hurts a bit, too.

A good choice for gamers looking for an easy to use motherboard and not planning to push their processor to the absolute limits of its performance.

Pluses (+)
  • Normal range of features.
  • Performance on par with KX133's.
  • Minuses (-)
  • Meager overclocking options.
  • Small layout flaws.
