Final Breakdown

Gameplay:

Creepy enemies, well set up storyline, and great environments to draw you in.

Graphics:

The graphics, while not top of the line, do an excellent job of conveying the feeling of an old-style black and white monster movie.

Sound and music:

The environmentals are wonderful, the enemy sounds make you jump, and the orchestral sounds are right out of old monster movies.

AI and Difficulty:

The AI's pretty dumb, but they hit hard and move fast, which keeps the game difficult and is in line with the survival horror motif.

Controls and Interface:

Very well done interface; standard FPS fare, really, but it works well.

Overall:

Get it if you like a good scare; if you're the type to wet your pants, play with the lights on during daytime. If not, try it at midnight with the lights out and see how high you jump.
