Final Breakdown

Gameplay:

All the same pulse pounding, in your face action is here for all gamers to enjoy. The game is probably one of the most enjoyable games on the market right now. With the addition of season play, tournament play, playbook editor, and fire modes, NFL Blitz 2000 delivers and more. But, the game is pretty much the same thing as the original game.

Graphics:

Improved graphics from the original NFL Blitz provide more bone crushing graphical flair for the eyes to enjoy. The colorful and lush graphics are sure to bring pleasure to those eyes with solid play grounds, great looking models, and cool new stadiums.

Sound and Music:

The sound effects and voices used in the game provide an excellent feel and touch to the atmosphere of the game with great sounding taunts that make the player feel like right down in the middle of all the action.

Multiplayer:

Multiplayer gaming can sure get fun with a fully loaded four people party. Especially the tournament mode, with four people the game can be a blast. The only problem that is with the game is that only four people are supported at a time on the same computer. There are no modem or internet options.

AI and Difficulty:

The customizable difficulty and adequate settings depending on the player type will provide for some excellent challenging settings depending on how skilled the player is.

Controls and Interface:

The game is easily played, but best played with a gamepad, the game uses the Microsoft Gamepad as reference material so that gamepad is probably optimal. The major gripe is in difficulty of configuring the controllers.

Overall:

Another rock solid game to add the growing collection of sport games hitting the market. This game has a much broader appeal as it should, the game is a lot of fun to play and deserves high recognition. The only problem is the lack of great multiplayer features and easily configurable interface, otherwise it would have gotten an editor's choice award.
